ONSLOW COUNTY, NC -- Onslow County deputies are investigating after they say an infant was found unresponsive before being pronounced dead at a home early Saturday morning.
Deputies say they got the call around 8:45 a.m. reporting that a three month old baby boy was unresponsive inside a home in Onslow County, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Investigators did not say exactly where the home is located in the release.
Investigators say EMS also responded to the scene alongside deputies, where the baby was later pronounced dead. There's no word yet on whether charges will be filed at this time. According to the release, deputies are still investigating the baby's death.
