ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- An active-duty Marine is charged with murder after deputies say he shot and killed his wife inside their Richlands home Sunday night.

Onslow County investigators say detectives responded to the home on Cherry Blossom Lane around 9:45 p.m. That's where they say they found Jordan Skaggs, 31, dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Deputies arrested Skaggs's husband, Christopher Michael Skaggs, 32, for her murder after they say reports revealed he went into rage before getting his handgun out and shooting his wife. Skaggs is behind bars in Onslow County with no bond.
