WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Funeral services for former Laney High School cheerleader Jasmin Grady, who family and friends hope to honor by granting her last wish, have been announced as millions continue to spread the word about her life.
Jasmin Virginia Grady, 20, died in an accident on Highway 17 early Sunday. Her twin brother, Kenneth Grady, has been taking to Twitter ever since in hopes to bring singer Drake to the Port City to sing at her funeral, which is now scheduled for Monday.
Though family and friends are still hoping the star will respond to requests, which have flooded the social site by millions worldwide using the hashtag #DrakeSingForJasmin, they now know when and how they will honor her here.
Jasmin's funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington. Following her funeral services, she will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. Jasmin would have been a junior at North Carolina A&T this fall.
