ONLY ON 3 UPDATE: Damaged road fixed after report

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- We told you last night about Trucking Lane in Brunswick county that was damaged by Duke Energy.

As promised, Duke Energy sent out contractors Thursday to fix the road.

A WWAY viewer originally sent us a Facebook message saying the company had come to trim some trees and damaged the dirt road. As the neighborhood's only access, she was concerned the road might wash away and leave them stranded.

I would like to know how people can blame a company on something that was not their fault if you look at the road you can tell that the road has been that way for a long time because the state will not do anything with the road because it's a private road so people look for a free way to get stuff done.
