Police still searching for suspect after Wilmington bank robbed


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police are still searching for a man they say robbed the First Citizens Bank on S. 17th St. yesterday afternoon.

At about 12:45 p.m. police say the man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money headed west on Medical Center Dr.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'0", bearded, wearing a dark jacket and teal hat.

Don't they use dye packs anymore? Banks, businesses etc should use them. They"d probably get sued for messing up the "perps money".

The teller should have asked

The teller should have asked him for his name and address. My guess is he would have told her. Guess this poor guy never realized that all banks have cameras, now.

Tellers are not smart enough

Tellers are not smart enough to ask for such information, they are like robots, just stand there and smile all day.
