Local leader Dr. Al Roseman dies

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)-- Dr. Al Roseman, noted community member and New Hanover County Airport authority member, died this morning.

People close to Roseman say he suffered a stroke last week, and died suddenly this morning.

Roseman, most recently a member of the New Hanover County Airport Authority, was also a member of the UNC Board of Governors.

According to a resolution in his honor, Roseman had a life long love for aviation, and used that love to further growth of the Aviation Science Program at Elizabeth City State University.

According to his Linkedin page, Dr. Roseman served in the United States Army Dental Corps in Europe. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Endo at University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Chapel Hill, and was a part-time instructor at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry
