Suspicious UHaul at hospital leads to arrest

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)-- A suspicious UHaul truck in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center parking lot led hospital police to call Wilmington Police Friday morning.

Investigators say around 6:30 a.m. the driver of the truck gave them permission to search it where they found boxes with shipping labels.

They contacted the addressee who said nothing was missing from him home but told officers he had a storage unit at 6789 Market Street.

The victim went to the storage facility and discovered a different lock on his unit.

Police then arrested Brendan Timothy Rogers, 40, for breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of burglary tools.
