Why is there never a bust at the port? Tons of drugs come into this country each year, yet the police act like a few bindles is making some headway.

C’mon Zenobia, don’t be showing us your insane lack of appreciation AND knowledge at the same time. First of all, “4000 bindles of Heroin” isn’t just a “few bindles”, it substantial! Second, we have federal DHS officers FBI, DEA and other drug interdiction actively surveying containers as they are unloaded off ship. This is a tiny port with very little commerce in comparison to say Norfolk and Baltimore where they receive over 100 times the ISO containers as we do. That job is simple here. What isn’t simple is dealing with all of the drugs that are consistently smuggled across our borders by illegals working for the Cartels. They have set up complex networks with all of the major and even not-so-major cities. They have complex distribution routes, methods and carriers AND are very well armed. The Cartels, the gangs and the illegals are poisoning our children with these drugs and we continue to allow it to occur even as they flip us the finger while crossing over.

So There’s your answer Zenobia. Drug smuggling 101 for the severely uninformed.
