WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Happening this weekend the New Hanover County Arboretum will host "Lettuce Grow Wilmington," an event to promote urban gardening in the Port City.

The event includes a screening of "Growing Cities" the award winning documentary about urban gardening. Included is food and beverages and a Q and A panel discussion on how to expand urban farming in Wilmington.

The event is on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the New Hanover County Arboretum.

The Arboretum’s website says the event is from 4 – 6:30. And tickets are apparently for the elite only (yeah, like they’re the ones interested in urban gardening – right!) – $30.00!!! That’s a very steep price for those who would benefit the most from this type of forum.
