WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- For the last four years Buzz Peterson has been a Wilmington resident. As of Thursday that's no longer the case. The former UNCW men's head basketball coach has moved his family to the Charlotte area. Peterson will be working with the NBA Charlotte Hornets down the road as a consultant. This means his son, Rob, won't be playing for head coach Nathan Faulk and Laney High in the upcoming basketball season. Rob plans to enroll at Marvin Ridge High School. He'll be a rising sophomore. Unlike Michael Jordan, Buzz Peterson's college roommate, Rob Peterson started as a freshman in Buctown.

Lets hope this guy gets a paying job so UNCW won't have to continue to foot the bill for him. A nice guy but a classic case of good players don't necessarily make good coaches. The Hornets most likely will pay his expenses but not a salary. Slick move.

...so what in the heck will he ever be able to do for a pro NBA team? I guess all teams need a water boy and locker room staff. Good luck Buzz, remember to separate the white clothes from the colors and bleach the whites only!

still being paid by UNCW? Has UNCW terminated that witless administrator who gave him the contract extension?
