WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Early Voting numbers are in across the Cape Fear region. Poll workers said this weekend during the last day of Early Voting that turnout looked more like a presidential election.

Here are the numbers, county by county, according to board of election officials in each county:
New Hanover – 25,525
Brunswick – 20,705
Pender – 8,269
Bladen – 6,044

Officials in Columbus County have not returned our request for numbers.

“Campaigning has been normal,” poll worker Laura Rogers said. “There hasn’t been more candidates out than normal. I have no clue what has brought more voters in. It’s not a complaint. It’s really awesome but at the same time… wow!”

If you are voting an absentee ballot, make sure you have it stamped by Tuesday for it to be valid.

If you haven’t voted yet, you can cast your ballot Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saw this at the corner of Independence and Oleander-
Typical campaign styled sign amongst all the others:
Vote
Mr. Rooter

For Plumber

Funny thing is once the political signs are taken down this one will stay

Someone has a sense of humor……
