LINCOLN COUNTY (WSOC) — Seven students from a Lincoln County High School were arrested for a senior prank.

Police said seven students broke into Lincolnton High School early Friday morning. Students told WSOC their plan was to release live chickens inside the halls to greet other students and staff as they arrived for class. Investigators said they set off an alarm at the school, and they were all caught in the act by responding officers.

A juvenile prank has now led to adult charges of breaking and entering and injury to property.

    Throw the book at them.

Yes you MUST arrest dangerous criminal students that would expose fellow students to killer chickens! I hope a judge gives them no less than 10 years for this act of terror. Thank you school system and law enforcement for your great insight and vigilance keeping our students safe from such a dangerous animal. In the US alone their must have been thousands who died at the wings, beaks and feet of these horrid beasts.
