CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) — Members of the College Football Playoff management group have visited Charlotte, which hopes to host the national championship game in 2019 or 2020.

Multiple media outlets reported four members visited Charlotte, which would host the game at the Carolinas Panthers’ Bank of America Stadium.

Executive director Bill Hancock says the group is looking at infrastructure, as well as the stadium, hotels and the airport.

Hancock says the group was impressed with what it saw as it assesses the city’s ability to stage a large event.

Charlotte Sports Foundation executive director Will Webb said the group also visited Time Warner Cable Arena, BB&T BallPark and the Charlotte Convention Center.

Other cities under consideration include Detroit, Minneapolis, Houston, New Orleans, San Antonio and Santa Clara, California.

A decision is expected in November.
