Boil Water Advisory

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has a scheduled outage and precautionary boil water advisory set for Thurs., Jan. 7.

The outage and boil water advisory are for all of Creekwood Estates, including 500-1200 blocks N. 30th St., 1200-1600 blocks of N. 26th St., Emory St., Clayton Pl., McClammy St., Robeson St. Bunche St., Spaulding Dr., Kornegay Ave., Forbes Cr., Stewart Cr., and 2929 Princess Place.

The outage is scheduled from 9 a.m. t0 approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday. About 200 customers will be affected by the outage. CFPUA customers in the area should boil their water for one minute before consumption or use another water source, such as bottled water.

The advisory will be in effect until water quality testing is done and service is returned to normal, usually within 24 hours. The CFPUA will alert customers at the end of the advisory.

According to their release, the outage is scheduled to repair broken valves found during the CFPUA’s Valve Replacement Program.
