WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington teen charged after a bad car crash on Carolina Beach Road earlier this week now faces charges in a Wilmington shooting.

Wilmington Police have charged Jacquez O’Shea Hill, 17, of Wilmington, in connection with the Dec. 29 shooting that damaged several apartments on Buckingham Ave. and Troy Dr. Hill was charged with five counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and possession of a handgun by minor.

Detectives are continuing to investigate Hill’s possible involvement in other recent shootings.

Investigators say Hill was the driver who took off when a trooper tried to stop him Wednesday and eventually crashed his car in front of a business on Carolina Beach Road.
