LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police Department are investigating after they responded to shots fired early Saturday morning at the HunterStone Apartments.

Police say around 3:12 a.m. Saturday morning officers arrived on the scene and heard additional shots fired. That’s when police made a request for the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team.

Leland Police Chief Mike James says they evacuated residents from the 1006 apartment complex, where the shots were coming from.

Once residents were evacuated, the response team entered the building and located Vicente Revilla-Bolanos inside an apartment. Police took him into custody without incident.

Chief James says Revilla-Bolanos, 24, is a Mexican national, who is in the US illegally. He is charged for firing out of an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm in the city limits, and illegal possession of a firearm.

No injuries were reported.

Now why isn’t one of the charges being here illegally?I hope they deport his butt. It’s time to clamp down on the illegal problem here before it gets out of control

What do you mean, “Before it gets out of control…”? With 14 million illegal aliens and 12 million violent felons mingling around in our free society among law-abiding citizens. I’d say we already have an “…out of control” problem!

You’ll have to forgive me,I was being selfish and am more concerned with our area than with the rest of the country. The biggest problem I see with this is getting rid of his illegal butt.
