BALD HEAD ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Calvin Peck, the Village Manager at Bald Head Island,  has resigned.

Village Councilor, John May, says Peck’s resignation is effective immediately.

Peck resigned during a 2 day council retreat that took place at the Bald Head Island Club.  Peck will be temporarily replaced by another staff member while they search for his replacement.

No reason was given for his resignation.

Over the summer, Peck was named in a lawsuit filed by former Bald Head police officers for wrongful termination.
