WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The CUE Center for Missing Persons held their 13th Annual National Missing Persons Conference in Wilmington this weekend.

It was three days long and consisted of various panels and speakers.

The conference is also a way for families to reach out for support and to make the public aware of what they are going through.

“You don’t know the pain. if you lose someone and they die and you know why they died. if you know where they’re at, you can bury your loved one. we don’t get that chance,” Kristie Davis said.

“It just hurts and there’s no words that really can describe, how I feel daily,” Shantinel Howard said.

The conference also offers classes on how to deal with the loss and how to prevent this from happening to others.
