RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — Shaun Kirk is a high-flying act on a basketball court. Kirk will probably admit he needs to become a complete player. It’s now up to Kevin Keatts for that to make happen and the Whiteville High grad is looking forward to it. “Coach Keatts is an up and down the court up tempo coach, so I feel like I’ve got a great opportunity,” Kirk told WWAY. “It’s amazing. Who would have thought that would happen, someone who recruited you heavily out of high school is now your coach, I mean it’s life changing.” That’s a strong statement from Shaun Kirk who feels he can now move forward in being a better person as well, now that Kevin Keatts is the new man in charge of the Wolfpack. “It’s not always going to be about basketball. He wants to know about your life and things like that, and that’s what is very important to a lot of basketball players they just don’t want to talk about basketball all the time they want a coach to ask how they’re doing.”
