A message from the chairman The North Carolina Azalea Festival will be celebrating its 61st year during April 9-13 2008 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Public attendance has increased each year as has the growth in entertainment. We place great emphasis on the parade (which will be held on Saturday morning, April 12, 2008) and it continues to be the largest attended event of the Azalea Festival with 400,000+ viewers and participants. The parade will be televised live and taped for later broadcasting. Changes are being made to guarantee that this next parade will be unique. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to attend this year's event and ask that you please complete in full and submit the Parade Entry Form. It is now available online or you can print and mail it in. Sincerely, Steve Coble, parade chairman
