We had our sports cameras out and about on Tuesday night. The Hoggard boys basketball team used a handful of slam dunks to their advantage in the league opener against Topsail. The West Brunswick boys team held off a pesky Laney squad. The game was tied late in regulation until Ty Hill nailed a shot from behind the arc to lead the Trojans to a 69-66 victory. Dashing through downtown in a one-horse open carriage! That's what some folks, including WWAY's Makenzi Henderson did in Wilmington Tuesday night. They took a tour, and picked out their favorite window displays as part of the Downtown Business Alliance Holiday Decoration Contest. They were the judges for the third annual competition that featured 33 stores. They judged the windows on things like creativity, and holiday spirit. Full story...
