video Thursday night’s sports segment featured a preview for the Wilmington Hammerheads home opener against the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday. We also traveled to Laney High School to check out girls soccer action between the Bucs and Vikings from Hoggard High School. In college tennis, the UNCW men’s and women’s teams collected individual honors at the CAA postseason banquet.

Reward offered after decapitated sea turtle found at Pleasure Island

video A reward is being offered after an endangered sea turtle was found dead at Carolina Beach. What has some people up in arms, is what may have happened to creature. Someone found the young Kemp's Ridley sea turtle Tuesday along the sand underneath Snow's Cut Bridge. Its head was missing.
