The Major Motion Picture "CAGED HEAT" is seeking those interested in working as Extras on the film. (EDITOR'S NOTE: Many insiders say "Caged Heat" is the code name for 'Iron Man 3.' Code names are used to help protect early production and thefts of early screening prints.)

River search suspended for missing Lejeune Marine

Crews have suspended their search for a Camp Lejeune Marine reported missing in the Cape Fear River. The Public Affair's Office at Camp Lejeune has confirmed he is Lance Cpl. John J. Pruitt of Fontana, CA. He is assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division.

Woman charged with murder after allegedly running down another with car

Elizabethtown Police Chief Robert Kinlaw said Vanessa Jones, 50, of Bladenboro was believed to be visiting family at 310 Martin Street in Elizabethtown. Kinlaw said an argument got out of hand early yesterday morning, and Brittany Williams, 25, allegedly ran over jones.

'I had an abortion' shirts spark controversy at UNCW

video UNCW students held a silent protest this afternoon against the sale of some controversial t-shirts. The UNCW Women's Studies Department and the university's LGBTQIA Resource Office held a panel today selling shirts for $15 that read "I had an abortion."

ALE busts hundreds during Azalea Festival
