Will Buzz Peterson leave UNCW for SMU?

Times have been better in Seahawk basketball land. It appears UNCW will be banned from post-season play next season due to previous academic difficulties. Three players recently transferred. On Sunday might a Dallas newspaper reported UNCW head coach Buzz Peterson may be heading to SMU as an assistant coach if Larry Brown is awarded the vacant head coaching job for the Mustangs.

Elizabethtown Baptist Church rebuilt after devastating tornadoes last year

videoOne year ago tomorrow marks the anniversary of a string of deadly tornadoes that tore through Bladen County. Those storms heavily damaged the Elizabethtown Baptist Church. Since then the church has rebuilt and is now rejoicing.

Josh Brock captures first pro golf title

Wilmington native Josh Brock captured first place on the eGolf Tour on Saturday at St. James Plantation in Brunswick County. It's a $25,000 payday for the New Hanover High graduate and UNCW grad. Josh turned pro less than a year ago. Saturday's win marks his first professional victory. Check out Brock's reaction on Sunday's Coach's Corner on WWAY at 6pm.
