Police know who killed the ECU student over the weekend during a fight in Carleton Place town homes. The New Hanover County District Attorney's Office won't file charges in the death of an East Carolina student because the fatal punch was in self-defense. Twenty-year-old Sam Flinn was found dead in the driveway of a town home in Carleton Place Sunday morning.

The report says robberies increased significantly in Wilmington between 2005 and 2006. Some Wilmington residents had mixed reactions to the numbers.

A local sixth grade class is finding a unique way to show support for our soldiers in Iraq and it involves a needle and thread. Soon soldiers in Iraq will be receiving a different kind of care package. Inside will be neck ties with a purpose made by students at Myrtle Grove Middle School.
