The $20 billion State budget proposal could bring about several changes. The temporary quarter cent sales tax increase will likely become permanent.

There are four new fire engines in New Hanover County. Wrightsboro Volunteer Fire Department is kicking their 1965 model engine 13 to the curb. It's replacement is a 2007 Pierce Dash fire truck.
