A New Hanover County teacher is in jail charged with indecent liberties with a 17-year-old girl. The victim is a student at Ashley High School, where White worked, according to an arrest warrant.

Grooms case goes to jury

Lenon Fisher steps down at East Bladen

East Bladen head football coach Lenon Fisher wanted to wait until Thursday to announce his retirement plans, but word slipped out today that the veteran coach will step down as the Eagles head football coach. Fisher has been the football coach in Elizabethtown since 1980.
