Wilmington is home to many historic buildings and churches, but only one also morphs into a skate park. The Brooklyn Arts Center is 123 years old and was brought back to life earlier this year. It seems the space has something for everyone, including skateboarders. Full story...

"During the course of the investigation, a number of discrepancies were discovered between what was alleged to have occurred and what we know occurred through witness accounts and other information. The information and evidence obtained during the investigation does not support Mr. Tessener's allegations. However, the investigation did show that Trooper Smith violated Patrol policy, and he will be disciplined accordingly," said Col. Gilchrist. Full story...

With a state budget finally approved, state universities will face cuts. The North Carolina system was hit hard with $414 million coming out of funding. Over the past three years, budget reductions for UNCW have totaled more than $31 million. This year's budget will see a nearly sixteen percent reduction. Full story...
