New Hanover Co. Courthouse closed Thursday because of bed bugs

The New Hanover County Courthouse will be closed Thursday because of bed bugs. Chief District Court Judge Jay Corpening says the exterminator is due in the morning, but it will take most of the day to deal with the bugs.

Lack of students puts Catholic high school plan on hold

During a visit to Wilmington today, Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Raleigh Diocese said that talks of building a long-sought Catholic high school here are on hold.
