videoOn Tuesday night we went in-depth on UNCW's victory over nationally ranked NC State in men's tennis. UNCW is currently ranked #43. The Wolfpack is #21. We also made a stop at Brogden Hall in order to check out the New Hanover boys basketball team. The Wildcats will play for the 4-A state championship on Saturday in Raleigh.

Brunswick County Board of Education approves school calendar

The Brunswick County Board of Education approved a 2012-2013 school calendar. The board voted to approve a draft that conforms to all requirements of state calender law. Board members also approved another draft that would allow the system to convert five additional instructional days.

School board focuses on budget amid civil rights complaints

videoThe New Hanover County Board of Education meeting Tuesday was business as usual, focusing on the budget with little discussion about the controversy surrounding seclusion rooms or two complaints filed against the county. The topic of seclusion rooms was not on the agenda, until the public comment portion of the meeting.

Jordan's former coach arrested again

The man who coached Michael Jordan at Laney High School is back in jail tonight. Clifton "Pop" Herring is in the New Hanover county jail under a $600 dollar secured bond for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

'Run and You're Done' law hasn't yet paid out in New Hanover Co.

videoLast night we told you about a new law that lets law enforcement seize and sell cars that lead them on chases. There are a handful of cases in New Hanover County that have fallen under the "Run and You're Done" law. So far, though, none have paid off.

Marsh Oaks residents sue Wilmington over re-zoning of annexed area
