FIRST ON 3: Weather threat postpones high school basketball games

West Bladen was supposed to host Burlington Cummings in a third round boys state playoff game. WWAY has learned the Alamance-Burlington Schools superintendent has refused to let the team travel because of severe weather watches and warnings across the state. The West Columbus boys basketball team won't be hitting the road on Friday either.

Police arrest man they say ran from shooting scene

Wilmington Police arrested a man overnight for a shooting at a Castle Street club. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the Sportsman's Club at 1111 Castle Street around 2:15 a.m.

WWAY'S Thursday night sports - Feb. 23; UNCW edges Towson in women's hoops

video On Thursday night the UNC Wilmington women's basketball team edged Towson by two points at Trask Coliseum. This was a nip and tuck affair the entire game. The biggest lead for either team? Fire destroys apartment building; resident says all is not lost

video Several residents are displaced Thursday after a fire emergency responders say engulfed the entire building. Although the building was destroyed, one resident Meridian Village Apartments says not all was lost.
