The Wilmington Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying the two men in the attached photos. Investigators believe they may have valuable information related to several pending cases.

ESPN honors Laney's Elijah Wilson

Laney senior Elijah Wilson scored 42 points against New Bern High School in a four overtime game on February 13. That scoring output tied Michael Jordan's single game scoring record at Laney. ESPN has now recognized Wilson with their SE regional player of the week award.

The Pender County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in locating a missing 17-year-old girl. They say she was last seen yesterday in a park in Castle Hayne.

Today was the first full day of Walter Dalton's campaign for governor. He spent part of it here in the Cape Fear. The current lieutenant governor visited Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington a day after filing to run.

Renovations done on Battleship masts

Work is done fixing up part of the Battleship North Carolina. As part of its continuous preservation, the Battleship got repairs on its forward and main masts.

Memorial Bridge lane closures planned for tonight, March

Bridge work will mean lane closures on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge Wednesday night. There will be intermittent closures several days next month, as well.

Appeals court upholds 1998 tobacco deal

The landmark 1998 national settlement between 46 states and 19 tobacco companies is valid and doesn't amount to a conspiracy or anti-competitive behavior by the government, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
