NC State campus alert may be tied to 'Zombies vs. Humans' fundraiser

NC State's emergency alert system is warning students of two unconfirmed reports of subjects carrying guns on campus. Some students speculated the sightings could be related to the weeklong "Zombies vs. Humans" fundraiser on campus where students battle other students dressed as zombies with Nerf guns and other weapons in a charity fundraiser.

UNC chief recommends 8.8 percent tuition increase

First place was also on the line between Ashley and Laney in girls basketball. New Hanover easily beat Hoggard. Laney played tenacious defense to beat Ashley.
