WWAY's Thursday night sports - Jan. 12

video On Thursday night we featured basketball highlights from UNCW's loss to Georgia State in Atlanta. GSU beat UNCW 75-61. The loss snapped the Seahawks four game winning streak. On Thursday we also honored the New Hanover boys basketball squad with our team of the week award. Wildcat Kadeem Allen won our player of the week award. Jacksonville residents react to Marine web video

video The recently surfaced web video reportedly shows Marines from Camp Lejeune urinating on dead Taliban bodies. After showing it to folks in Jacksonville, where most either know a Marine or have previously served in the Corps, we got mixed reactions.

An official says the Marine Corps has identified at least two of the four Marines in an internet video that purports to depict them urinating on Taliban corpses in Afghanistan.
