video On Tuesday night we featured high school basketball action from Wilmington and Hampstead. Click full story to see the complete high school basketball scoreboard from Tuesday night's play. This includes two different teams who put their undefeated records on the line. Undefeated New Hanover held off Ashley, but just barely. Undefeated Croatan held off Topsail, but it took overtime for the Cougars to win.

Two arrested for theft of scrap metal

Samuel Stephenson Butler II, 26, and Jessica Renea Hunt, 27, of 405 Melvin Road Elizabethtown were both arrested on 01/05/2012 and charged with Felony Larceny and Felony Possession of Stolen Property.

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans arrested again

"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was back in jail Tuesday, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office. The 20-year-old was charged with placing harassing phone calls and communicating threats.

Navassa residents already disappointed in performance of newly elected town council

video The town of Navassa is no stranger to conflict, and that continued Tuesday night during an emergency town council meeting. The council met to discuss a personnel issue and FEMA grant money for Hurricane Irene damage, but residents who were there had a lot more to talk about.

ONLY ON 3: Author of book discussing NC forced sterilization talks about proposed compensation

video Victims of involuntary sterilization in North Carolina may finally be compensated for what they went through. Earlier today a task force voted to pay each sterilization victim $50,000. The legislature must still approve that money, but this is the first time a state has approved paying victims of eugenics.

video The battle between Brunswick County District Attorney Jon David and District Court Judge Jerry Jolly finally had its day in the state Supreme Court. WWAY was the only Wilmington TV station in the courtroom in Raleigh as justices heard arguments from both sides today about a dispute over traffic court.
