Man arrested after arson at Wilmington home

Wilmington Police say a house fire this morning was intentionally set. Investigators say Ronald Joseph Rose, 20, of Wilmington, is charged with breaking and entering and arson.

UPDATE: SBI requested to investigate fire in Holden Beach

video The SBI has been requested to investigate the cause of the house fire on Starfish Lane. Due to the complete destruction of the house, the cause of the fire remains undetermined. The investigation is ongoing.

Trader Joe's joining Whole Foods in Wilmington

FIRST ON 3 UPDATE: UNCW trustees approve tuition hike

Determined to maintain a high quality academic experience in the face of decreasing state financial support, the University of North Carolina Wilmington Board of Trustees today approved a 6.5 percent tuition increase for the 2012-13 academic year. Fee increases were held to $9.50 for all students.
