Whiteville remembers McGlockton as more than just gridiron great

video Family and friends gathered in Whiteville today to pay final respects to football great Chester McGlockton. The 42-year-old died last week in California, where he was an assistant coach at Stanford University.

Leland settles claim from another police officer

video The Town of Leland settled yet another claim against the town from a Leland Police officer at Thursday night's special council meeting. The settlement says officer Kevin Foss will resign as an employee, the claim he filed will be dismissed and the records concerning the situation will be sealed.

Local ceremony honors veterans of Pearl Harbor attack

video A solemn and sincere tribute to the fight at Pearl Harbor was held in Wilmington today. The ceremony at Battleship Park launched at the same time when the first wave of Japanese aircraft hit Pearl Harbor, 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time.

New owners wait for ABC permit to reopen bars downtown

video The words new bar or new nightclub grab the attention of many in downtown Wilmington. In the past year the city has made it clear it wants to limit the number of alcohol permits downtown by setting new policies and procedures. One rule is that anyone applying for a liquor permit must undergo a review by the city's ABC Policy Review Committee.
