CFCC earns first win of the season

video The Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils played in the national junior college basketball tournament last season. Some of those players are long gone though as a new season tips off. The Sea Devils picked up their first win of the 2011-2012 season on Tuesday night. Cape Fear beat Wake Tech by four.

Two new faces elected to Wilmington City Council; Sparks left out

video After all the votes were counted Tuesday night two new faces came out as winners for Wilmington City Council. Businessman Neil Anderson and retiree Margaret Haynes are the two non-incumbent candidates that will fill two of three open seats; incumbent Laura Padgett was re-elected.

Family mourns after man hit and killed riding skateboard

video Monday night Mike Manzari, 21, left his house in Castle Hayne for the last time. State troopers say it was around 7 p.m. when a man driving northbound hit Manzari in the 4500 block of North College Road near the Midway Kwik Stop. Manzari died at the scene.
