video Back in March, a Wilmington resident was on a mission to clean up her neighborhood. Often times, Lola James was left alone to clean up everything from broken glass to paper bags. But today, she says the trash problem has gotten worse and she is fed up with the filth.

'Booze It & Lose It' Halloween campaign nets hundreds of DWI arrests

State and local law enforcement officers cited 758 motorists for driving while impaired during the "Booze It & Lose It' Halloween campaign, which ran Oct. 28-31. Brunswick County led the way in our five-county area with 38 DWI arrests. New Hanover was second regionally with 18.

FIRST ON 3: Former Hoggard star arrested again

A former high school football star is in trouble with the law once again. Records show Wilimington Police booked Shawn Sidbury into the New Hanover County Jail yesterday. He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary.

Elon Poll: N.C. favors higher taxes on millionaires, unhappy with Congress

Two out of three North Carolinians support the increase of taxes on Americans making more than $1 million a year, according to the latest Elon University Poll, and a majority of respondents believe that President Barack Obama is more willing to work with Republicans than the GOP is willing to work with the president.
