Wilmington man charged with attempted murder after bar fight

A Wilmington man is in jail charged with attempted murder after a bar fight. Police say it happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday at the End Zone Sports Bar at 1415 Dawson Street.

Biotechnology company to create 52 jobs in Brunswick County

CMS Food Solutions, Inc., owner of an innovative proprietary food safety technology, will open a manufacturing facility in Leland according to the governor's office. The project is expected to create 52 jobs and the company expects to invest $4.4 million in the plant.

Southport-Ft.Fisher ferry runs cut Friday
