Andy Rooney to end his regular run on "60 Minutes"

Andy Rooney, the curmudgeonly essayist who has appeared on CBS's "60 Minutes" for more than 30 years, will end his run as a regular commentator on the popular TV news magazine this Sunday, producers said.

ONLY ON 3: New Hanover Co. spends $600+ to promote town hall; Only 15 show up

video We've learned that the county spent more than $600 to do a telemarketing blitz to alert people in the area about the town hall. A total of about 15 people showed up, and most of them said they learned about the meeting because of the sign in front of the school. That works out to be about $45 per person.

video Brunswick County District Attorney Jon David told us he has asked the Attorney General to appoint another attorney to be the point person for anyone who wants to come forward with allegations against the town or the police department, but the AG's office says that's not exactly the case.

Public speaks out again regarding Titan

video It's an issue that has stirred up strong opinions in the Cape Fear, bringing Titan Cement to the area. The state issued a draft air permit for the proposed Titan Cement plant last month. Now they are looking to the public to help them decide whether to alter it, or deny Titan the permit all together.
