FIRST ON 3: Michigan says incentives led 'Iron Man 3' to NC

According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan originally offered Marvel $13 million in incentives, but upped that to $20 million to match North Carolina. The Michigan Film Office told the newspaper that the film chose North Carolina instead because the money was guaranteed.

Alfy Hill gets offer to play for USC Gamecocks

video The South Carolina Gamecocks made a formal offer to former West Brunswick Trojan Alfy Hill earlier this week. The former Trojan defensive lineman and linebacker won't be eligible to play division one football until 2013 though after stops at Alabama, East Carolina, Itawamba CC and Los Angeles Valley CC where Hill currently plays.

Gov. Perdue suggests ignoring constitution and letting Congress skip elections; Updated with audio

"I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them - whatever decisions they make - to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that," Perdue said.
