New Hanover High student-athlete arrested for Creekwood murder

A New Hanover High School student-athlete has been charged with murder. Wilmington Police arrested Tevin Sh'qur Quintell Hankins, 17, for first-degree murder after a shooting in the Creekwood community earlier this week.

video A judge has extended a protective order against New Hanover County Commissioner Brian Berger. Judge Sandra Ray Criner made the decision just before noon Friday after a hearing involving Berger and his ex-girlfriend Heather Blaylock.

Buffalo Wild Wings donated ten cents from every chicken wing it sold last weekend. The 20,000 wings gobbled up meant $2,000 donated to police and firefighters.

ONLY ON 3: Leland Mayor Futch reneges on interview

Leland Mayor Walter Futch joins a growing list of politicians who apparently don't want to answer tough questions and then cancels interview appointments. Last night after the town council meeting, Futch agreed to come to the TV station today to do a live interview at 5:30 p.m.
