Two people are dead after what investigators say was a home invasion in Hubert early Tuesday morning. A news release says the home owner, Jeremiah Hilton, was killed by one of the suspects, and another person in the home shot and killed one of the suspects, Willie Ware. Full story...

It was a shocking sight for some residents of Oak Island on the beach yesterday when about 50 sharks were lying by the shore dead. Dozens of sharks washed ashore ranging anywhere between 1 to 4 feet in size, now the NC Division of Marine Fisheries investigated the situation and they think they know the cause. Full story...
