DOT: "Causeway project ahead of schedule"

video The NC DOT plans to work through the holidays to meet an upcoming deadline on the Causeway Project connecting Brunswick County to New Hanover County. DOT officials say that work will not lead to lane closures affecting the holiday traffic.

North Topsail Beach approves another emergency plan

The Town of North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen passed a preliminary resolution on an emergency protection plan for four lots of land on North Topsail Beach. The purpose of the meeting Wednesday was for the Board of Aldermen to decide if they should make a preliminary decision on extending the sandbag revetment project for emergency protection measures for four lots north of the current sand bag revetment project.

UNCW holds off Liberty in OT

videoUNCW head basketball coach Kevin Keatts said last year's UNCW team would have found a way to lose Wednesday's home game against the Liberty Flames. As it turns out, UNCW won a sloppy, physical game in overtime to improve to 4-3 on the season. The game was highlighted by a handful of dunks. We hope you get a chance to check out the rim rockers on our video. On Wednesday we also showcased BCC men's hoops, UNCW women's basketball and Laney wrestling.
