A 79-year-old man is on life support at New Hanover Regional after his car nearly flipped over the bridge embankment of Snow’s Cut. Highway patrol said the white mini-van was traveling south on 421, approached the bridge, then ran off into the emergency lane, and hit a concrete support barrier. The van landed under the bridge. Police said the car flipped four to five times, before hitting the ground on the bridge embankment. Highway patrol said speed was not a factor, but is looking for any witnesses who saw the crash to help with their investigation. If you have any information you are asked to called highway patrol at 910-395-3918

hmm

Elderly drivers......

maybe it moved

Maybe the bridge moved as he was approaching it.

Flipped or Not Flipped

Confused. Writer states "after his car nearly flipped over the bridge embankment of Snow’s Cut." then later the statement from police is, "Police said the car flipped four to five times, before hitting the ground on the bridge embankment."
