Alcohol plays a factor in car crashing into a house

Residents of a home on Hillside Drive in Wilmington got a surprise Sunday morning when a car crashed into their house. Police told us the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. when a 17-year-old girl lost consciousness behind the wheel. Someone who lives in the house said he is a friend of the girl. He said she hit a mailbox, then went over the curb and smacked into his house. No one was seriously injured. Highway Patrol said alcohol played a factor in the accident. The girl is charged with driving while impaired.

alcohol a factor

what can one say ? she was under-age. it seems that no matter what the laws say kids are gonna drink. it is a sad thing because so many of them get killed. i feel deeply sorrowful for the families of the guys that were killed in an accident where alcohol was also a factor.

i think her parents should

i think her parents should sit down and talk to her about her problems , i some kids parents think well they are taking her licence and thats enough well its not she could have hurt her self or someone else please as a parent please sit down and talk to her and get her help now

Can you believe it? Another car crashes into a house. A 17 year old under the influence? I am sure when all of this is sorted out, somebody is going to be putting out some money on this. Chances are she is on her parent's insurance and they will see the rates go up. In my humble opinion, she should lose her license for a specified period of time. She may not be able to get any insurance, which is a good thing. If she was mine, she wouldn't be driving again for a long time.

Car Crashes into a house

Wow it seems like every week a car is crashing into a house around here. What is it? I have heard of this once in my life where I grew up. Thank goodness no one was hurt but I just can't believe it. Cars are not toys, they are big machines. Driving needs to be taken much more seriuosly around here.
