WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Big news out of UNCW tonight. A highly anticipated player won't be suiting up for the seahawks this year afterall. UNCW men's basketball coach Buzz Peterson has announced that Antoine Allen has left the program to become a recording artist in the music business. The recent University of Miami transfer was a highly anticipated player for the Seahawks. Peterson says this came as a surprise as he had planned on using Allen as one of his lead guards. Allen, a 6'1", 185lbs player from Baltimore, Maryland appeared in 17 games last season for the Hurricanes. He announced his decision to attend UNCW in late May.
