The Wilmington Fire Department says they do not have towers to reach the top of the building, but that no one else can reach it either.

General Electric's nuclear business donated 175-thousand dollars to start a new nuclear training program at Cape Fear Community College.
The CEO of GE Nuclear and Lt. Governor Beverly Perdue were on hand for the announcement.

Construction on Military Cut-off Road in Wilmington has created a three-year headache for drivers, but it doesn't look like it's getting any better for drivers any time soon.
Engineers now say the project will take longer than planned. It could be as little as a few weeks and as much as few months more than the May 15 expected completion date.
