New Hanover County issues watering ban

Folks in the northern part of New Hanover County better hope for rain soon. The county declared a Stage 2 Water Shortage Mandatory Conservation water use restriction Thursday. The county says it issued the restriction because water demand has exceeded 90 percent of water production capacity for two consecutive days.
